Shower Door Vinyl Decal – In this post we will be demonstrating how to install a side decal and front door decal on a glass door merchandiser. First we will demonstrate how to install a side wall decal. Tools you will need for this task include masking tape, a squeegee, and the desired decal. First you’ll line up the decal with the top edges and use the masking tape to hold the decal in place. Adjust the tape to align the edges at the top, bottom, and sides. Once aligned, peel the backing off the top of the decal — folding the backing flat against the cabinet. Then stick the top of the decal to the top two corners. Secure the tops with pressure from the squeegee, moving side to side and then remove the masking tape.
Grab the backing of the center of the decal and pull down slowly as you squeegee the decal, moving side to side. As you get to the bottom of the decal, move the squeegee downward to avoid creasing. In the event of creasing, be sure to stop and run the squeegee across the crease and not downward, pulling up on the decal to re-secure if needed. Check over the decal with the squeegee to remove any air pockets. Once all air pockets have been removed, this installation is complete. Next we will show how to install a front door decal. Tools you will need include glass cleaner, a squeegee, and the desired decal. Trim excess of the decal if needed. Before starting, do a test fit to make sure the decal will fit inside the door. Use glass cleaner to clean the window removing any dust or debris.
Then peel the backing off and spray the glass cleaner in the area where the decal will be placed. You may also spray cleaner on the back of the decal. Match the corners one at a time and make sure it is center and leveled. Squeegee lightly to set the decal and look to the front to make sure the decal is positioned correctly. Squeegee from under the trim downward from the top to complete and squeegee out any air pockets.
