Cost To Replace Flooring In Rv – Probably like lest any renovation process you go to Lowe’s like a hundred times. Anyways back behind me are two boxes of vinyl flooring, so it is basically the pill and stick tiles, I got those and that’s what we’re going to be laying down for the flooring we are over a week into renovation. So I am on my way to the camper and I’m so excited. Because today is a big day and all day today Tyler and his dad have been laying down the hardwood floors for our camper Renault. And it’s actually not real hardwood it’s just like the tile hardwood that looks like hardwood banging.
I was there and I’m so excited I think it’s going to look really good and I’m just crossing my fingers and hoping that is exactly. What I imagined because you never know and it’s all laid out. So I’m here I’m so excited and my mom has sent me a couple pictures of it when they were first starting. But I’m sure they have a lot more done now so that’s good all right latter days only today’s are running together. So last night but loss season has started for my brother so I ended up going and I watch in his hearse like scrimmage or whatever and then I just decided to that. I would work on the camper today that was the first day that I have not worked on the camper in like two weeks. I guess it’s been about two weeks I don’t even know I can’t even keep up with the days now.
But I figured I would kind of update you all a little bit on the renovation process and I think I want to be very real in the fact that. This has been a lot longer and harder than I thought it would be it’s not that. It’s like too hard that you can’t physically do it. It’s just a lot it’s very time consuming so painting this saying and all that has been so logged. Because of all the different cabinets and crevices and corners it does take a while and honestly. I’ve had so much help from my family that I am so very lucky so the painting is almost done. We just have a few more cabinets and stuff in this main room behind me. But we haven’t even started working on the bedroom yet. We are set to move out of our.
So I literally have like 10 days not even today’s yeah today’s or whatever maybe a little bit more. I don’t know around 10 days so that does slightly stress me out. And I have felt like the strain and put rescue you can’t come in here honey the strain that. It has to me inhaler because I haven’t seen him what luckily. He came and ate lunch with me after work or during work one day. But like we haven’t got to like hang out or anything but maybe like one night no. I’m sorry no no no someone good deal so yeah it’s been very challenging. But we know that all this hard work is going to be totally worth it.
So I’ll go ahead and show you all kind of like the floors and stuff so I’ll show you like the floors and kind of talk about that process. So here are our hardwood floors and it’s not actual wood it is a vinyl pillow stick tile and those are count doors and stuff laying there. So here’s the slog and as you can see you can see that little one there’s not really much. We can do about that because that’s what allows it to move and then out. But I’m going to clean it up a little bit and take some of that plastic off and it should look. Okay so when you’re changing out the towels in your camper or change out the flooring for me. It was um it was a little challenging because a lot of the things. I saw online like this camper was not the same way like the it has like linoleum and it didn’t go.
All the way through the slide so what my father-in-law ended up doing he took out all of the linoleum. And the carpets as a slot head carpet they took everything out and basically they laid down these film stick tiles. You can get them at Lowe’s but the thing is is they weren’t you can’t just directly put it onto plywood. Because I think the adhesive isn’t strong enough for that. So they ended up using this glue adhesive stuff underneath it. And I think it’s called something maybe like stick and stay. I’ll show you a picture of it, so they just put that down and then put this over top of it absolutely love it.
The only thing left to do with the floors in here is to just do some caulking around the corners. Because not everything is perfectly symmetric or whatever and you can’t really get up under anything because everything is already stable. So that’s just a quick little how we did our flooring. It really wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be but Tyler’s dad is like a professional hardwood layer. So I think for him he wanted it to look perfect and I think you just got to know going into this. That it’s not going to be perfect because of this space that. You’re changing the flooring in but I think it looks perfect and I absolutely love it. So like I mentioned we are still working on the paint it is crazy hot in the summer and working on this.
That’s another challenge we have faced it’s very hot but that is what. I’m going to be trying to finish up this weekend I will do an update post kind of like on painting and all. All of what we did and the paint colors we use. I’m not going to show you too much because I do want to do a final reveal with everything put together but that will come. But I just do want to show you some of the updates and stuff like that be sure to follow me on husonvalleyhomesguide.com and I’m posting update articles kind of as a process, or update photos of the process on there.
